Meet the crew of the Tribal Warrior
It is said that many hands make light work, but sailing an old
ketch around the World's largest island continent is no easy task.
Here, we celebrate the trainers, skippers and crew of the Tribal
Warrior on her epic circumnavigation of Australia.

Trainer
Seaweed played a key role in the success of Tribal
Warrior's historic voyage, sailing with her all
the way around Australia.

Kippa
Trainer
Kippa was on board the Tribal Warrior from
Sydney to Brisbane, and re-joined the voyage again in
Fremantle, sailing all the way back to Sydney. |

Dave Bird
Skipper
Departing with the first crew in Sydney, Dave sailed
the Tribal Warrior up to Port Douglas in Queensland.
Later, he got back on board for a second shorter leg
from Weipa to Normanton. |

Craig Timbery

Sailing on the first leg of the journey, Craig sailed
on board the Tribal Warrior from Sydney to Port Douglas,
and rejoined the voyage in Weipa for the short run to
Normanton. |

Paul was on board from the very start. He sailed two
long stages from Sydney to Port Douglas, and then from
Weipa to Broome, Western Australia. |

Peter crewed on board Tribal Warrior from
